Abbal Koirala, MD


Dr. Abbal Koirala hails from Kathmandu, Nepal. He completed a nephrology and glomerulonephritis fellowship at the University of Washington, Seattle, and held the position of Clinical Assistant Professor there from 2020 to 2024. In August 2024, he joined the faculty of the Division of Nephrology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine as the Assistant Professor of Medicine and Associate Director at the Johns Hopkins Glomerular Clinic. Dr. Koirala sees patients with glomerular diseases, provides second opinions upon request, and shares his expertise with colleagues. His clinical and research interests revolve around glomerular diseases and onco-nephrology.
