Meet Jing Estrada

I am the mother of a vibrant daughter who was a dedicated student and varsity taekwondo athlete, and I always believed she was unstoppable.

In 2021, after months of encouragement to undergo a biopsy, she was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy, and our world changed as we faced fear, uncertainty, and questions with no easy answers. Seeing her struggle emotionally was heartbreaking, but I chose to learn everything I could, studying lifestyle medicine and making healthy changes that we could embrace together.

Finding the IgA Nephropathy Foundation gave us hope, support, and a community that reminded us we were not alone on this journey. While we still face challenges, our faith, family, friends, and the Foundation give us strength, and I now know my daughter is not only a black belt in taekwondo—she is a black belt in life.
